Full Basement Renovation
A basement suits a different purpose in every home. Whether it’s just a place to throw your Christmas tree in the summer, a spare bedroom, a chilly wine cellar, or laundry room, a basement can be as accessible or as hidden as a family needs it to be. In this case, the basement started off as raw empty space with endless possibilities. The homeowners wanted a full basement renovation which would transform their large, empty basement into a home gym and entertainment area for their family.
Wet Bar, Entertainment Area, and Recreational Space
We were able to accomplish this renovation by segmenting different parts of the basement for different activities. Although each section is used differently, they are able to function independently of one another and also flow together as needed. The wet bar and entertainment area are situated next to each other on one side of the basement, creating a visual anchor for the space. This allows the recreation and gym area on the far side of the basement to be a bit more hidden and private. And we were able to take this remodel one step further by adding a bathroom and putting a wet bar in the basement’s entertainment area.
Remodel with White Quartz & Gray Subway Tile
Although we were able to accomplish the new layout of this space, we also enjoyed picking out design elements as well. The color palette of the basement was neutral, with a large beige sectional, which made the blue cabinets of the wet bar a really fun pop of color. The white quartz and backsplash keep it timeless. The homeowners opted for a gray subway tile and a fun accent tile for their shower to keep it classic with a modern twist. It was exciting to create an entirely new space for these homeowners and their family to enjoy together!
