Located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, this basement started as a blank slate with basic structure and framing. Our goal was to transform it into a fully finished space that seamlessly integrated with the rest of the house while catering to the unique needs of our clients. From the beginning, our clients had a specific vision for their basement.
Bringing Your Vision to Life
We began by analyzing the location of load-bearing walls and created various room layouts to accommodate all their requirements. Their wish list included a full guest suite for ultimate privacy, complete with a bedroom and bathroom. Additionally, they wanted a designated play area for their son, a home gym where they could exercise at home, and an art studio. Furthermore, they desired a second living space where the family could relax together and an adjacent game area near their son's playroom, allowing them to spend quality time while still being in close proximity.
From Blank Slate to Fully Finished Renovation
This basement renovation truly had a little area for everyone, including a special addition for our clients' cat, Goose. Among the fun and unexpected features we incorporated was a hidden cat litter box within the wall. This clever addition not only provided Goose with privacy but also ensured that the litter box remained concealed, maintaining the overall aesthetics of the space.
