Bringing New Life Into An Old Space
Stepping into our most recent bathroom project was like stepping straight into the past. This bathroom clung to the vibrant hues of the 90s– green floors, green countertops, and a riot of red, green, and gold-striped wallpaper. It felt just like a classic Christmas movie as soon as you walked in. Faced with the challenge of rejuvenating this outdated space, we embarked on a mission to transform it into a contemporary oasis.
Reinventing the Space
Our team got to work quickly and stripped the space down to its studs. Beneath the layers of outdated decor, we uncovered a canvas of opportunity. Rotted wood was replaced, and the plumbing and electric systems were given a contemporary upgrade, ensuring both functionality and safety for years to come. Once the glaring decorations were removed, it was much easier to envision a bright future for this bathroom that had high ceilings and ample closet space.
Timeless Design with Classic Charm
Mindful of preserving the historical essence of their classic home, the homeowners opted for a design that echoed the age of the house while bringing it into this decade. A stunning 2x2 marble mosaic floor was chosen, seamlessly blending classic elegance with a touch of modern luxury. The double vanity and fixtures received a facelift, embracing a timeless aesthetic that harmonized with the home's original charm. A classic white subway tile shower was installed, providing a clean and timeless backdrop. The decision to retain the original doors, door knobs, and windows added a layer of nostalgia, connecting the renewed space to the history of the home.
